AC Shadows Unveils Bizarre AoT Crossover for Thanksgiving
In a surprising crossover event that challenges traditional expectations, the game developer has announced an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Disclosed
According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of banned ceremonies and monstrous metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The narrative presents a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a hidden cult.
The mission centers on "bizarre experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Metamorphoses
The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a powerful sequence showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Prizes and Bonus Material
Players who accomplish the mission will receive an unique katana in addition to numerous artifacts secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
