Iran Reports Attack on American Facility in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Amid Regional Retaliatory Strikes.
Iranian forces say they have struck a US naval base in Bahrain, as the country executed missile attacks throughout the Middle East in retaliation for a significant and ongoing attack targeting the nation by the US and Israel.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an vicinity in the area of the headquarters of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The scope of any impact is unclear and the United States has yet to issue a statement.
Regional Interceptions
Elsewhere across the region, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar and Kuwait - all home to American military installations - reported they have shot down incoming projectiles in their territorial skies.
In Doha, Qatar's defence ministry said it had successfully engaged a number of projectiles seemingly aimed at the al-Udeid air base, the biggest US military installation in the region.
Operation "Truthful Promise 4"
Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) declared it was striking US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the strikes on Iran launched by the US and Israel on Saturday.
That preceding assault - launched at around 06:15 GMT - has so far focused on areas linked to the Iranian leadership, with US President Donald Trump urging the Iranian people to revolt against the leadership.

In the State of Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israeli military said it had detected an barrage of missiles from Iran.
The Ministry of Defence of the UAE said in a statement that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems responded to the projectiles with notable success and shot down a several projectiles," it added.
Officials reported wreckage landed in a populated district in the capital, causing some property damage and killing a civilian.
The United States Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the UAE Air Force.
