Recent details have emerged concerning the shocking deaths of renowned film director Rob Reiner and visual artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose bodies were discovered at their residence home on Sunday.

A source indicates quoting a confidential source, a therapist arriving for an appointment first raised the alarm after not being able to enter the residence. This individual then contacted the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who resides close by.

When she went into the home, Romy discovered her father's body. Accounts indicate she then fled the house in anguish, without knowing at that moment that her mother's body was there as well. Her roommate who had accompanied her promptly called 911. Following this, emergency responders discovered Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Proceedings

Authorities have charged the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with the charges of first-degree murder, as well as the charge related to a weapon, said to be a knife. He is now detained and denied bail.

The person close to the family also disputed several initial details. It was stated that while Romy Reiner told first responders that her brother Nick resided in a guesthouse on the grounds, she did not identify him as a suspect at that moment.

Nick Reiner was arrested at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Exposition Park, some 15 miles from the scene. He was due to appear in court on Tuesday, but his attorney, Alan Jackson, indicated his client had a medical issue and would not appear until Wednesday at the earliest.
